Notwithstanding the importance of producing a Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) systematic research of your area is an important way of gaining general knowledge and information about your locality as it is today and how it is evolving.
Neighbourhood research can also be an important basis for initiatives and the take up of activities that are found needed in the area. It can be a basis for the formulation of policies, other than those in the NDP, for local representatives on town and parish councils.
The reports shown here are examples based on readily available sources and analysed in so called desk research. They have all been published in the newsletter for the parish of Odd Rode, Cheshire, www.oddrode.org.uk.
